What did the Client Need?

Obtaining a certificate confirming compliance with the Sustainability Criteria in accordance with European Parliament and Council Directives 98/70/EC and 2009/28/EC in the area of assessment and qualification of biomass suppliers for energy purposes, as well as preparing the organization for SURE – EU® system certification by an authorized Certification Body.

BIOCONTROL Provided:

Development of a supply chain verification system within the organization, including identification of biomass feedstock flow streams, risk assessment, mass balance system, procedures for obtaining information and data from sustainable biomass suppliers, and implementation of requirements, as well as a system for GHG emissions reporting and verification. Consultation on supplier risk analysis.

Scope of Work:

Comprehensive product engineering service: design, implementation, and support for the operation of the system in compliance with the SURE-EU® standard requirements. The service included verification of the supplier base, preparation of documentation and risk management tools, development of system procedures, implementation of GHG emission calculation tools, participation in the Certification Body audit process, as well as training and technical workshops for company personnel.
